Lactic Acid — What It Does and Who Should Use It

What is Lactic Acid?

A gentle AHA derived from milk (or fermentation). Larger molecule than glycolic acid, so more surface-level action.

What does it do?

Gently exfoliates, hydrates (also acts as a humectant), brightens, and improves texture.

Good for

Sensitive skin or those new to AHAs. Dry and dull skin.

Avoid if

Use SPF when using AHAs. Avoid with strong actives on the same application.
